The ProDriverU Hazmat (Hazardous Materials) CDL permit test preparation tools are designed to help you study for the Hazmat written test you will take if you want to get a CDL with Hazmat Endorsement.
The Hazmat CDL permit knowledge test is required if you want to haul hazardous materials or waste in amounts that require placarding or any quantity of a material listed as a select agent or toxin in 42 CFR 73. This is an Endorsement to the CDL. In order to obtain this Endorsement you are also required to pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check.
This course contains information needed to pass the CDL Hazmat test for driving a commercial vehicle that requires a Hazmat Endorsement for the driver. You must take a test on this information to get a CDL with Hazmat Endorsement. These written tests are usually administered at your local DMV office.
